Education

I graduated high school from a small private school in Dallas, Tyler Street Christian Academy. I then came to Texas Tech University, and graduated in 1990 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Economics. I then went back and got a Postbaccalaureate certification in Math. I taught one year at Estacado High School. From there went to teach middle school math at Roosevelt Middle School for 7 years. It was then that an opportunity came available at Lubbock-Cooper Middle School and I was able to come teach here at one of the best districts in the state. I have taught Math at Lubbock-Cooper for 17 years(25 years total), and this year I will be teaching STEM and Robotics for the first time. I am very excited about this new chapter and can't wait to see what the future holds.

 

Family

I grew up in Dallas in a family of 4. My mom and sister still live the the Dallas area. I have a son who will be a senior this year at Lubbock-Cooper High School. I have lived in the Lubbock area for about 35 years. I have one dog, a frenchie, named Stella.
